In a minute I am going to share with you my 24 day challenge. I tried everything in the past to discourage readers, and viewers of Advocare Review Facebook from using/selling any Advocare products. Unfortunately I do not feel that it has worked. Not that Advocare is gaining any real ground as they continue to hang at or around 500,000 distributors a year, according to their income statements. They had approximately 517,666 according to their 2014 income disclosure statement.
I am not surprised because it is really hard to grow in a saturated market so thousands have to give up. Unfortunately it is just a fact. I mean, if the product was any good, they would not drop out and the distributor count would increase. But that is not why I am writing this article today, today this is about us and what we can do to be better. This is about my 24 Day Challenge.
Today I am asking you to make a decision to improve your health by walking. I am not going to ask you to do it every day, but you can if you so choose. I am not going to ask you to buy any special products from me or anyone else to help you do it. As a matter of fact, I am going to ask you to follow some simple rules.
My 24 Day Challenge
1. Do not change what you normally eat (although you can eat healthier foods if you want).
2. Do not over eat. (Meaning, don't eat so much that you are so full you cannot move or your belly is bloated)
3. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
4. Walk 2 miles at least 3 times a week (include hills, and you can do 4 or 5 days if you want)
5. Take note of your weight prior to starting and each week.
6 Keep track of how long it takes and Try to beet your best time.
Believe it or not 2 miles of walking does not take long to complete, but here is the secret. I live in the city, and have several streets next to me that have steep Hills. Each hill runs about three short blocks. What I want you to do is find an area that has hills. Even if you have to use the same hill over and over to complete this challenge. This is what I want you to do.
Walk as fast as you can without over exerting on a non hilly block or two (take it easy at first until you get used to it, but not too easy) Then walk up the first hill maintaining the same speed you had prior to the hill and do not run and try not to slow down. Then turn around and walk back down the hill with control. This is your cool down. Then fast walk one or two blocks, until you hit the next hill at which time you will continue to maintain the same speed if you can. Continue to repeat until your 2 miles is complete. Remember, 2 mile is the minimum, but you could do 2.5 or 3 if you wanted.
Remember the key here is to walk fast and maintain that speed when you hit the hills. Try to find difficult hills to climb but safe. Paved city streets would be the best, and is what I use. Bring some water with you but do not drink a lot, as you will get cramps.
The difficult part is maintaining the fast pace up the hill. Your body will naturally want to slow down as your cardio starts to take a beating. Try to hold that speed and do not give up, or hold it as long as you can. Slow down a little if you have to but try to pick up the speed before you reach the top.
That is my 24 day challenge. If you decide to do this, please post your weekly result below. Please share this Challenge with your friends and family.
I believe this is a much healthier way of trimming off the pounds and should take about a half an hour to an hour to complete. You can ask your friends to join you and do it together.
I would like to remind everyone that I am not a trainer, nor am I a doctor so you will have to do this at your own risk.
Thank you for reading and please share your thoughts as usual.
